Fringe trim, prohibition, and bubbles, oh my!

This production called for seven identical ‘bubble dresses’ for the chorus girls. To achieve the designer’s idea for these bubble dresses, we stuffed halves of clear Christmas ornaments with pink and white tulle and sewed them onto leotards. The ruffled shimmer skirts were then snapped onto the leotards to create a cohesive look. 

            A linen suit was also needed for the prohibition following Duchess. We used a simple ladies suit set drafted pattern and spent lots of time hanging the linen to allow it to stretch and not create unfavorable drag lines.
